Acceptable Use Policy

FileSteward stores and delivers files on merchants' behalf. This policy sets the line. It is deliberately short: a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
1. You must have the right to distribute what you upload
Upload only files you own or are licensed to sell and distribute. Most abuse of services like this is ordinary copyright infringement — reselling someone else's ebook, course, font, sample pack or software.
2. Prohibited content
You may not upload, sell or deliver through FileSteward:
- Infringing material — anything you lack the rights to distribute, including circumvention tools and pirated software, media or licence keys.
- Malware — viruses, ransomware, spyware, cryptominers, or files that install software the buyer did not agree to.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Prohibited without exception. Apparent CSAM will be reported as required by applicable law, including to NCMEC where required, and access may be disabled immediately without prior notice.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content involving minors or people who have not consented to its distribution.
- Content that incites violence or promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- Stolen data — breached credentials, harvested personal data, card or banking data, forged identity documents.
- Illegal goods and services, or instructions whose primary purpose is facilitating serious physical harm.
- Deceptive files — content materially different from what the buyer paid for, including empty or placeholder files sold as real products.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Using FileSteward as general file hosting or a CDN unconnected to selling digital products.
- Circumventing quotas or billing, including misreporting file sizes, scripting the upload API to evade limits, or splitting one account across stores to avoid a plan.
- Sending unsolicited email through the delivery system, or using delivery emails to carry marketing unrelated to the purchase.
- Attempting to access another merchant's or buyer's data, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfering with the service.
- Sharing download links publicly in a way that turns a paid product into a free distribution channel — including as a deliberate business model.
4. Reporting abuse
Email admin@advancedbinaryoperations.com. Include the store domain, the product or file, and what is wrong. For copyright, use the DMCA process in Terms of Service §5a; include the statements it lists so the notice is actionable.
General abuse reports are reviewed as reasonably practicable. Copyright notices are handled under Terms of Service §5a.
5. What we do about violations
Proportionate to severity and intent:
- Revoke the download links — instant, stops distribution, keeps the audit trail intact.
- Remove the file.
- Suspend the account, without refund.
- Report to authorities where required or clearly warranted.
Severe cases — CSAM above all — skip straight to steps 1 and 4 with no notice.
We do not pre-screen uploads and are not obliged to monitor. Acting on one report does not commit us to finding everything else.
6. Reinstatement
If you believe we acted wrongly, reply to the enforcement email with an explanation. Where we can verify a mistake we will restore access.
For non-copyright enforcement, reinstatement is at our discretion. Material removed or disabled under the DMCA procedure in Terms of Service §5a is governed by the counter-notification and restoration procedure stated there. Reinstatement is not available for CSAM.
